C.L.E.A.N “Collaborative Learning and Engagement for Accelerating NCAP ”

The workshop was conducted for senior officials from MoEFCC, Central Pollution Control Board, Municipal Corporations from 56 NCAP cities and 24 State Pollution Control Boards/ Pollution Control Committees by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Bloomberg Philanthropies and International Forum for Environment, Sustainability and Technology (iFOREST), as part of their collaboration with MoEFCC. The workshop was conducted to provide the participants with the necessary orientation to effectively support the implementation of NCAP in the 130 non-attainment and million-plus cities, to discuss the good practices in each of these cities, as well as their contributions to the overarching goal of improving air quality and public health in India.

The event had 36 participants with representation from 16 Municipal Corporations, 10 SPCBs/PCCs, 3 representatives from CPCB, and 2 representatives from MoEFCC.

  • Field Visits at Auroville

The 2-day knowledge exchange event, “Collaborative Learning and Engagement for Accelerating NCAP” (C.L.E.A.N), was organized with the following objectives:

  • To facilitate the exchange of best practices, successful strategies, and experiences among cities implementing the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP).
  • To strengthen collaboration and promote the exchange of technical and operational knowledge among stakeholders.
  • To accelerate the adoption of effective clean air measures by cities.
  • To provide networking opportunities for cities to stay connected and collaborate for effective planning and implementation of tested clean air measures.
