Associate Programme Development 

The International Forum for Environment, Sustainability & Technology (iFOREST), is looking for an experienced and dynamic professional to support the organisation’s programme development. 

A successful applicant must have a proven aptitude for secondary research, putting together proposals, developing Expression of Interests, and organising training programmes, with good communication skills. 

Location: Noida, India 

Required Experience: 0- 2 years  

Education: Master’s or Post Graduate Diploma (programme administration, economics, commerce, or allied subjects) 

Length of commitment: 2 years+

iFOREST is an independent not-for-profit research and innovation organisation that was established in 2019 to identify, promote and scale up solutions for pressing environment-development challenges in India and other developing countries in Asia and Africa.

The Role 

The associate will be responsible for supporting the team in programme development, expanding the professional network, organising training programmes, creating and updating information data base, and putting together proposals. This would entail dedicated support for identifying new opportunities for Expression of Interests (EoI) and Request for Proposals (RfP), as well as support the team in project and contract management activities. 

Specific tasks to be undertaken by the associate would include: 

  • Identify new EoI opportunities from multilateral and bilateral, and government funded projects.
  • Support end-to-end documents for EoI and RfP responses in line with requirements of RfP.
  • Liaise with internal team and other stake holders on developing EoI and tender/bid documents and financial proposals.
  • Support the team in programme development activities.
  • Support team in project management and contract management activities.
  • Support team in organising various training programmes/meetings/events.
  • Identify and source external team of experts as and when needed for project and draft CVs as per the RfP
  • Support team in Identifying specialized experts from recruitment and professional networking platforms.
  • Support team in building contact and information databases to support research projects.

 Additional duties. 

  • Execute any other related assignments that may arise in relation to the aforementioned tasks or for the further enhancement of the programme

Qualification & Work Experience 

Master’s or Post Graduate Diploma in Business and/or relevant subject (minimum) from a recognised institution in a relevant field, including management, economics, commerce, or allied subjects. 

Required competencies 

In line with the listed responsibilities for the successful candidate, she/he is expected to have the following competencies: 

  • Good understanding of procurement process’ of multilateral, bilateral and government agencies.
  • Experience of carrying out programme development activities in consulting industry.
  • Ability to identify, track and source EoIs and RfPs from multilateral and bi-lateral funding agencies viz, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, etc. and government projects.
  • Experience in liaising with clients/funding agencies, associate firms, external experts, and other stakeholders as and when required for tender preparation, JV/consortium, bid submission.
  • Experience in identifying potential external experts and maintaining database of professionals and associate firms.
  • Experience in contract management and project management steering contract meetings, contract negotiations, periodical project reporting’s and other stakeholder meetings.
  • Excellent organisation skills for organising training programmes, events and high-level meetings at regional, state and national level for various stakeholder group.
  • Familiarity with different online and offline tools for effective engagement with participants of a training programme will be an added advantage.
  • Willingness to travel as per requirement.
