Smog Tales Season 2

Air pollution in Maharashtra is reaching critical levels. With winter approaching and rapid construction and city expansion, Thane, Amravati, Nagpur, Aurangabad, and Bhiwandi—many of them non-attainment cities—face severe air quality challenges.

Building on Season 1, which spotlighted the Indo-Gangetic Plains, Smog Tales Season 2 translates complex data and science into clear, accessible stories. Our goal: move the air quality conversation out of the lab and into everyday spaces—homes, workplaces, and neighbourhoods—so citizens understand both the causes of pollution and the solutions within reach.

Through city-level webinars, social media factoids, and interactive discussions, our campaign brings together urban local bodies, pollution control boards, civil society, citizen groups, and influencers to spark coordinated, collective action for cleaner air.
