Green Urea Capacity Development in India

The Roundtable is based on iFOREST’s research demonstrating that Green Urea is emerging as a commercially competitive, low-carbon alternative to conventional urea, with the potential to strengthen India’s food and energy security. It also supports the Department of Fertilizers’ Green Urea capacity development initiative, following the recent EOI launched through PDIL.

The event will convene senior representatives from government, fertilizer companies, carbon-intensive industries, green hydrogen developers, technology providers, financial institutions, academia, and research organisations to discuss the policy, technology, finance, and infrastructure needed to accelerate Green Urea deployment in India.
