Webinar: Fire Watch Dashboard

iFOREST is pleased to invite you to the launch of the Fire Watch Dashboard, an online webinar scheduled for Thursday, 5 November 2026, from 3:00 PM to 4:45 PM (IST).

Crop residue burning remains a major challenge for air quality management in India. To support timely and targeted mitigation, iFOREST has developed the Fire Watch Dashboard, which integrates observations from multiple satellite systems to estimate burnt area during the stubble-burning season across Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh. The platform will expand to additional states in the coming months.

Unlike conventional fire-count-based approaches, the dashboard identifies where fires occur, when they are detected, and which satellite observed them. This enables more evidence-based interventions to address agricultural burning.

The launch webinar will unveil the dashboard, followed by a panel discussion on “Addressing stubble burning using burnt area and not just fire counts,” bringing together experts, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders.
