With increasing temperatures, cooling has become essential to human health, food security, and economic productivity. However, higher levels of cooling are resulting in increased emissions, exacerbating climate change and pushing up cooling demand. Our side event will delve into this critical issue, analyse existing policy initiatives, identify gaps, and propose a comprehensive framework for addressing urban heating and cooling.
