Overview
With an installed power capacity having reached 476 GW as of June 2025, India’s renewable energy growth in recent years has been commendable, however, accelerating this trend to meet our net zero ambitions by 2070 is the challenge in front of us.
At iFOREST, we believe in creating a balanced renewable energy landscape across the country. Expanding Renewable Energy infrastructure beyond the Southern and Western states will not
only improve grid efficiency and resilience but also unlock vast tracts of untapped potential from other regions.
We perform primary research into the RE potential assessment and development in states like Odisha, Assam, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand to make a case for clean energy investments in these regions. We also work to push demand for Renewable Energy in CNI components. iFOREST is dedicated to providing technical and policy support for these projects through our strong partnerships with industry and state governments.
Our objective is to setup the eastern region platform on green energy and green jobs, advance policies and investments for balanced renewable energy to improve energy access and livelihoods, and support industries in meeting their Renewable Purchase Obligations through targeted policy and investment support.
